EOC Week 4: My App

What is one thing that has always been a rather large hassle when it comes to online shopping? The answer to that question is; shopping for clothes. More often than not we find ourselves reluctant to purchase these sorts of items because we know their tendencies to be I’ll fitting. Now there is a different question we have to ask ourselves; what possible thing could phone users do almost more than any other thing? What are so many individuals obsessed with? Taking pictures of themselves of course! Millions upon millions of selfies are taken every single day. Now what if we were to use those selfies, for something actually productive?
What I am proposing is an app that would only take a small amount of work on the users part. All you would need is a smart phone with a relatively good camera, and maybe a mirror or two. The app would require your height and weight, both being adjustable in the settings for latter growth spurts, weight changes, or unfortunate accidents. You would take four pictures of yourself, front, back, and profiles. The app would then run a mathematical algorithm and take your height and weight and run the numbers with you pictures to calculate you measurements.  It should go without saying that one would preferable be wearing very slim fitting clothing or as minimal as they feel comfortable with to get the most accurate measurements. Once your measurements are taken it can do one of two things. It can run through a database of every department store or online boutique and find the closest things that can match your body shape, and with a few settings can be adjusted to find things within your budget. The second is for the more fashion forward consumers who have a bit more money to throw around. It would connect you to a database of designers and houses that offer couture clothing and or tailored fits. A fashion forward future awaits us in the digital age with this app. I call it ClickFitt
